Houston Sandwich Shops Offer Takeout or Delivery

If you want to enjoy a quick, delicious meal, nearby delis offer takeout and delivery of their hearty sandwiches. Whether you prefer classic favorites or one-of-a-kind creations, the best Houston sandwich shops near our Houston apartments include:

Paulie’s Poboys

When most people think of po’boys, they’re transported to New Orleans. But at Paulie’s Poboys, the mission is to put a unique twist on this Louisiana favorite. Many of the recipes are original, making the deli a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Options include supreme, corned beef, and smoked turkey. They’re best enjoyed with the potato salad, and are available for carryout.

Mandola’s Deli

A Houston favorite since the 1970s, Mandola’s Deli is a family-owned eatery known for its spirit and outstanding Italian food. It’s open six days a week (the owners’ golf on Sundays) and is where many locals celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other important milestones. Sandwiches include deluxe roast beef, Italian grilled cheese, and chicken Parmesan. Order online for easy pickup.

Kenny & Ziggy’s

Kenny & Ziggy’s boasts that it is not about the food. It’s tradition. Owner Ziggy Gruber is a third-generation deli owner who followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He now works alongside his daughters and is proud to keep his family’s legacy alive. The Sandwich Stars come with the choice of coleslaw, potato salad, or macaroni salad.  Made to order, the sandwiches include One in a Minyon, Brisky Business, and Love at First Sight. Kenny & Ziggy’s offers curbside pickup as well as delivery through Favor or Postmates.
