St. Arnold Brewing Company
The Oldest Craft Brewery in Texas
St. Arnold Brewing Company is a small batch craft brewery featuring unique and seasonal brews. Currently, their beer is only available in Texas and Louisiana, so it is a wonderful place to take your guests from out of town. St. Arnold opens its doors for lunch and dinner. They also have rooms available for special events.
St. Arnold’s current seasonal brew is Spring Bock. This German-style bock has a sweet, malty flavor with just a hint of hops. This beer is only available through February and March, so hurry if you want to try it!
If you love oatmeal cookies, try the Bishop’s Barrel #18. It is an exquisite oat wine aged in rye whiskey barrels. This chestnut brown brew acquires a touch of sweetness from a unique pale chocolate malt. The finish is reminiscent of expensive European style toffee.
If you prefer classic style beer, you cannot go wrong with the Five O’Clock Pilsner. This Bohemian Pilsner beer is made with simple ingredients: pilsner malt and Saaz hops. This brew is a true beer purist’s delight.
St. Arnold makes their own gourmet bratwurst, fresh every day. Try it on the “wurst of der week sandwich,” which changes depending on what the chefs at St. Arnold dream up. The ale wagger falafel bites are a crispy treat.
Also, you don’t want to leave without trying a St. Arnold root beer float. Three scoops of Mexican vanilla ice cream made in-house topped with St. Arnold’s own root beer! This root beer float is delectable and definitely made for sharing.
Enjoy your trip to the oldest craft brewery in Texas!
