Sign Up for a Glowing Experience Near These Apartments in Houston

Imagine how fun it is to go to the water park. Now imagine how great it is to play on inflatables—come on, you know it’s fun for adults too! Now, think of the wonder of a glow-in-the-dark experience. When you combine all those things what do you get? The Blacklight Slide, which is coming to Houston on July 28! About half an hour away from the Lincoln Medical Center apartments in Houston, the Blacklight Slide will take place at Sam Houston Race Park. Here’s everything you need to know:

The Blacklight Slide

What You Need

Round up a handful of friends or family and register online for the Blacklight Slide event. Once you are signed up, watch for an email a few days before the event with a location to pick up your registration packet and wristband before the event. If you wait until that day to pick up your wristband, you will have to pay an additional $5 fee.

Wear a comfortable bathing suit or a white t-shirt. Whatever you’re wearing, plan for it to get wet and glowy! You may also bring inner tubes but they need to be 36 inches in diameter or under. Plan to bring $10 for parking and give yourself plenty of time to park so you aren’t late.

What to Expect

Once you arrive after dark, you and your friends can play on the inflatable slides covered in glowing water. You will shortly be glowing in the dark like never before. After you’ve slid to your heart’s content, enjoy the after party with great music from one of the best DJs around.

All for Charity

Maybe the coolest thing of all is that Blacklight Slide was formed as a way to raise money for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital after the founders had a child with a serious illness. You can read more about the backstory of Blacklight Slide here. So if you want to enjoy something new and donate to a great cause, check out the Blacklight Slide in Houston this summer!
